Product Development Manager Required in the Beauty Field

Laline, a company in the skincare and cosmetics field, is looking for a professional with industry experience for a diverse role that combines project management, product innovation, and leading processes with professional partners in Israel and abroad. The role requires the ability to translate business and marketing needs into product solutions, identify opportunities, and lead processes from the idea formulation stage to commercial implementation and launch. What does the role include?

Your tasks

• Leading projects in the cosmetics and skincare field, including developing new products and upgrading existing products, in accordance with the brand strategy and business needs.
• Translating ideas and marketing needs into professional product characterization, including the selection of active ingredients, formulations, textures, scents, and packaging solutions.
• Managing collaborations and workflows with manufacturers, laboratories, and suppliers in Israel and abroad, including drafting professional briefs, examining samples, and promoting adjustments throughout the development process.
• Accompanying testing and validation processes, including stability, compatibility between formulations and packaging, quality, and product performance.
• Consolidating and managing the professional information required throughout the project, including product pricing, technical specifications, product compositions, instructions for use, and data required for product files.
• Promoting cross-organizational processes in collaboration with marketing, design, procurement, quality, and regulation teams, while addressing relevant professional and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product development in the cosmetics industry, in a commercial company or a manufacturing plant – Mandatory.
• Experience in leading product development processes from the idea stage to launch.
• Deep professional knowledge of formulations, cosmetic raw materials, and production processes.
• Experience working with manufacturers, laboratories, and suppliers in Israel and abroad.
• Practical understanding of the field of cosmetic packaging and their compatibility with various formulations.
• Familiarity with product testing processes, regulatory requirements, and professional documentation.
• Ability to manage and motivate interfaces, make decisions, and solve problems independently.
• Creative and commercial thinking, systemic vision, order, precision, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
• High level of English, both written and spoken.
