Company Description Forward Ever Collective Foundation (FECF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the charitable impact arm of the Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective ecosystem, established in 2021. FECF advances economic mobility, ethical civic leadership, and youth development by providing communities with education, resources, relationships, and opportunities to thrive. The organization supports community-based initiatives serving Ghanaian, African, and broader diaspora communities, with a primary focus on the United States and Ghana. Its work spans economic empowerment, workforce development, youth mentorship, civic engagement, community health, environmental resilience, immigration support, and humanitarian response, alongside fiscal sponsorship and nonprofit infrastructure for promising initiatives. Guided by the principles of Empowerment, Change, and Integrity, FECF brings together people and institutions to address community challenges and create lasting impact.
Social Media Associate

Role summary
You will be the voice and visual identity of Forward Ever Collective Foundation online. You will turn our signature programmes into compelling content, grow an engaged community across our platforms, run campaigns that drive sign-ups and participation, and produce blog posts and articles for our own channels and external publications.
Key responsibilities
- Content curation and creation
Plan and produce a monthly content calendar built around our signature programmes Create posts, stories, reels, carousels, short videos and live coverage for each platform Capture programme events with photos, quotes and testimonials, and turn them into shareable content Keep tone, messaging and visuals consistent with the brand guide
- Graphic design
Design social posts, campaign visuals, flyers, event banners, infographics, e-invitations and presentation slides Edit short videos and motion graphics for reels and stories Maintain a library of templates, brand assets and approved visuals Prepare print-ready files when needed (banners, roll-ups, programme materials)
- Community growth and engagement
Grow followers, members and subscribers across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, WhatsApp communities and other relevant channels Respond to comments, messages and enquiries promptly and professionally Moderate groups and communities, and enforce community guidelines Spot and nurture active members, ambassadors and partners, and encourage user-generated content
- Online campaigns
Plan, launch and manage campaigns for programme registration, events, memberships, partnerships and fundraising Set campaign goals, budgets and timelines, and run paid social ads where approved Coordinate with partners, speakers, influencers and sponsors on co-promotion Run A/B tests and adjust campaigns using performance data
- Blog and article curation
Write and edit blog posts, programme stories, thought-leadership pieces and newsletters Source, curate and commission articles from team members, participants and guest contributors Pitch and submit pieces to external publications, media and partner platforms Optimise content for search and publish it on the website or CMS
- Analytics and reporting
Track reach, engagement, follower growth, clicks, conversions and campaign return Produce a monthly report with insights and recommendations Monitor trends, competitors and relevant conversations in the sector
Qualifications and experience
Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent proven experience) 1 to 3 years' experience managing social media for a brand, organisation or programme A portfolio showing both written and visual work
Skills
Content and communication
Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills in English Strong sense of tone and brand voice Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimisation
Graphic design and creative
Proficiency in Canva and at least one professional tool (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar) Video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar) and basic motion graphics Good grasp of layout, typography, colour and brand consistency
Social media and campaigns
Hands-on experience with Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, X and TikTok, and with scheduling tools such as Buffer or Hootsuite Experience running paid campaigns (Meta Ads or LinkedIn Ads) Community management and moderation experience
Analytics and tools
Comfortable with platform insights, Google Analytics and spreadsheet reporting Basic experience with a CMS such as WordPress, and with email marketing tools
Personal qualities
Creative, organised and able to meet deadlines Able to work independently and with a small team Comfortable representing the organisation at events and photographing or filming them Professional judgement with public communication and sensitive topics
Performance indicators
Follower and community growth rate per quarter Average engagement rate per post Number of programme registrations or leads from campaigns Content published against the calendar (posts, articles, newsletters) Number of articles placed in external publications
