R&D Project Manager (M/F)
About the company
Dassault Systèmes, the 3DEXPERIENCE company, is an "accelerator of human progress." It offers companies and individuals collaborative virtual environments that allow them to imagine more sustainable innovations. By developing a virtual twin of the real world, thanks to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its applications, Dassault Systèmes empowers its customers to push the boundaries of innovation, learning, and production. Dassault Systèmes' 20,000 employees work to create value for our 270,000 customers of all sizes, in all industries, in more than 140 countries. For more information, visit our website www.3ds.com/fr
The DELMIA Robotics Portfolio R&D team, responsible for defining and promoting industrial solutions and usage methodologies for DELMIA software for our customers in the energy, automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment industries, is currently looking for an R&D Engineer Intern - Portfolio Management Role.
Your tasks
The objective of this internship is to develop the means to quickly create the digital twin (Virtual Twin) of a production line or a robotic cell within Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This digital twin is not limited to a simple 3D representation: it constitutes a complete simulation and Virtual Comtâcheing environment, notably integrating the control part of the installation (programmable logic controllers). It thus allows for the virtual reproduction of the behavior of a line or a robotic cell even before its physical commissioning.
For our customers, this Virtual Twin becomes a true virtual laboratory: it allows for designing and testing new scenarios, simulating and optimizing processes, validating technical choices, anticipating problems, but also training production teams in a realistic and secure environment. To fully exploit its potential, however, this digital twin must be created quickly while remaining sufficiently faithful to reality. The challenge is to be able to move as quickly as possible from an idea or a study hypothesis to an operational virtual environment that allows for its testing and validation.
This is precisely the challenge of this internship: to imagine and implement new methods to accelerate the creation of Virtual Twins of robotic cells and lines, at the heart of simulation, robotics, and the industry of tomorrow.
