Contract type: 6-month internship

The "Corporate Recherche & Sciences" department studies existing or new technologies that are highly relevant to Dassault Systèmes. It defines and develops components, prototypes, and experiments that have significant added value for Dassault Systèmes' products or its patent portfolio.

You will join the "processus & tranformation des opérations" team, which is responsible, among other things, for the global maintenance of the codebase and this department. This team is also responsible for conducting technology watch regarding development tools and software engineering.

You will find your place in this department to define, develop, and then experiment with tools. You will be responsible for mapping the software lifecycle tools in use within the department: what information each produces, what it consumes, what it has authority over, and in what form it is exposed - API, webhooks, exports, textual content. The objective is to deduce the expected propagation flows between tools and the current breaking points. This mapping can be accelerated by an LLM-assisted analysis of existing content, in order to inventory at scale the information actually present in the various tools and their forms of expression.

You will work in close collaboration with the rest of the team and with the teams using the department's tools.

Your tasks:

You will start by mapping the software lifecycle tools in use in the department, what information each produces, what it has authority over, in what form it is exposed; as well as how repository versions are produced today. You will develop extraction connectors from source tools (Git tags and releases, artifact registry, continuous integration pipelines) and writing tools to target tools, through automatic updates or by opening a Pull Request when human validation is necessary. You will generate the inter-component dependency graph from real data.

You will implement consistency checks between tools (documented version different from the last delivered version, declared dependency missing from the build) and notify Component Owners of potential discrepancies. tc

Your qualifications:

You are currently in a Master 2 / Bac+5 in an engineering school or university, with a specialization in computer science or software engineering,

You master at least one scripting language (ideally Python), and you have a good command of a command interpreter. You are comfortable with Git and software forges, and you demonstrate real curiosity for continuous integration and delivery practices. You have a taste for integration between systems: consuming and feeding APIs, manipulating structured data (JSON, YAML).

You have the ability to lead a subject from end to end and you like to take initiative. :

You have good communication skills: you will regularly exchange with the teams using the tools, whose field knowledge will be your primary source of information. You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
