JOB DESCRIPTION

For a high-tech chemical company in the Zwijndrecht region (next to the E34), we have an open position in the lab. Here, you will be working in a clean room environment.

The laboratory technicians work in a 3-shift system, but the night shift is rather sporadic. Mainly, the work is carried out in 2 shifts, with the occasional night shift (approximately 1x every 5 weeks).

You will support ongoing projects regarding the development of new formulations.

Tasks

• You perform tests in a cleanroom lab. Think of coating silicon wafers, extensive inspection (thickness measurement, microscopy,...) of the coatings and patterns
• You perform tests regarding material characterization (tensile tests, DMA, TMA, TGA, water absorption, adhesion,...), sometimes in combination with aging tests
• You perform analytical tests (viscosity, FTIR, UV-VIS, fluorescence, TGA, DSC,...)
• Preparing and filtering previous formulations
• Reporting results and statistically monitoring data
• Maintaining equipment
• Contributing to safety by following guidelines

PROFILE

Who are you

• Bachelor in chemistry
• Previous relevant work experience is an advantage for our client, but not a must
• Recent graduates are certainly welcome!
• Disciplined and reliable
• Critical when measuring and processing results
• High sense of accuracy
• Working knowledge of English (both spoken and written)
