Thisrole will manage and develop a portfolio of corporate clients with cargo,logistics, trading and supply-chain exposures. It combines hands-on account management and placement responsibility with new-business development,providing scope to help grow the Cargo & Commodities proposition inSingapore and across the wider region.
Thesuccessful candidate will be supported by the comanies established international Marine & Logistics practice, including wider group expertisein cargo, commodities, credit and political risk, hull, P&I and relatedtrade risks.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of corporate Marine Cargo clients.
- Lead end-to-end renewals, including risk information gathering, market submissions, insurer negotiations, placement and policy documentation.
- Advise clients on cargo, transit, stock-throughput, logistics, commodities and broader supply-chain risks.
- Develop tailored solutions for manufacturers, traders, logistics businesses, freight forwarders and other internationally active corporates.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client enquiries and claims matters, coordinating effectively with insurers and internal specialists.
- Build strong insurer relationships and secure competitive terms and coverage for clients.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across related P&C and specialty lines, including credit and political-risk solutions where appropriate.
- Proactively develop new business and contribute to the growth of the local and regional Marine Cargo practice.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all placements and administration meet regulatory and internal requirements.
Candidate profile
- Ideally 6+ years’ experience in Marine Cargo insurance, broking or underwriting.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine cargo placements, international transit and supply-chain exposures.
- Demonstrable experience managing corporate clients, renewals and insurer negotiations.
- Commercially confident, client-focused and comfortable developing new business.
- Established Singapore and/or South-East Asia insurer-market relationships would be advantageous.
- Relevant insurance qualifications are preferred.
- Must be authorised to work in Singapore without requiring sponsorship.
