ACMV Switchboard Assembler

Roles & Responsibilities Assemble ACMV electrical switchboards, distribution boards and control panels according to approved drawings, schematics and specifications. Able to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and layout drawings. Install and terminate cables, busbars, breakers, contactors, relays, meters and other electrical components. Carry out point-to-point wiring checks and ensure all components and connections are correctly installed. Carry out  testing and commissioning at site , including functional and operational testing of switchboards. Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, consultants, clients and other contractors during site testing and commissioning. Troubleshoot electrical faults and assist in identifying and resolving problems during testing and commissioning. Record test results and prepare testing and commissioning reports, checklists and relevant documentation. Assist with site installation, modification and upgrading works when required. Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition. Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other electrical assembly, testing, commissioning and site-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.

Requirements Relevant experience in  switchboard assembly, electrical wiring, testing and commissioning . Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics. Familiar with electrical testing instruments such as insulation resistance testers, multimeters and other relevant test equipment. Able to travel to project sites for testing and commissioning works. Able to troubleshoot electrical and wiring faults independently. Good understanding of electrical safety requirements. Relevant electrical qualifications/certifications will be an advantage.
