*Job Overview*

*Position:* Full-time Administrative Assistant *Location:* Fort Macleod, Alberta *Wage:* $20.00?$24.00/hour, based on experience *Hours:* 35 Hours/Week, Monday?Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

This is a full-time position that offers a variety of administrative, communications, and community-focused responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the FCSS Coordinator and team to support the day-to-day operation of the office and delivery of FCSS programs and services.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Provide front-line reception and client support
  • Answer phones, emails, and general inquiries
  • Complete filing, data entry, correspondence, statistics, and other administrative duties
  • Provide administrative support to the FCSS Coordinator
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute meeting materials
  • Provide administrative support for the Assisted Transportation program, including client and volunteer records, scheduling, statistics, and communication
  • Create posters and promotional materials for FCSS programs and events using Canva
  • Create and schedule social media posts to promote programs, services, events, and community information
  • Assist with event planning, registration, setup, and follow-up
  • Work with community partners and assist with other FCSS projects and initiatives

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Canva and social media
  • Ability to create professional, engaging promotional materials
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Previous administrative experience is an asset
  • Experience taking meeting minutes is an asset

*Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Clear Criminal Record Check required as a condition of employment
  • Knowledge of Fort Macleod and the surrounding area is considered an asset; preference may be given to candidates who live in or have strong ties to the local community
