The position

Job Summary Under the authority of the Head of Scientific Operations and in partnership with the clinicians and researchers of the ICAN institute, the IHU founding members, and academic and industrial partners, the Scientific Operations Manager will be responsible for conducting research projects and clinical studies.

Your Missions

Setup of scientific and clinical projects:

• Participate in monitoring opportunities
• Draft necessary documents including clinical protocol synopses with the help of colleagues and with researchers and clinicians (in particular responses to external calls for tenders and technical specifications with industrial partners)
• Establish the budget and draft the proposal to be validated by the ICAN management
• Establish regulatory documents (protocol, information note, consent, and patient documents) in liaison with the ICAN legal department and the founders' units (in particular URC and DRCI AP-HP) for the associated clinical studies in the projects.

Conducting scientific and clinical projects:

• Establish project logistics (in particular necessary recruitments and transfers)
• Establish projected operating budgets
• Establish the schedule and coordinate all actors (internal and, if necessary, external) required for the smooth running of the project
• Ensure the animation of the project team as needed by organizing the meetings necessary for the proper progress and conduct of the project with internal and external actors
• Ensure project reporting internally and to funding bodies (report writing). Ensure financial monitoring of the project (monitoring purchase requests, compliance with financial rules, particularly public procurement)
• Alert the principal investigator and their hierarchy in case of major deviation in the project's progress. Close projects (closing meeting) and establish the final report and budgetary closure.

Other missions

• Provide expertise and knowledge to the institute to contribute to the development of the activities of the Scientific Operations department and its colleagues
• Participate in transversal missions with the other departments of the Institute
• Represent the Institute to potential prospects/clients/partners and participate in the events of the Institute and/or its partners.

Profile sought Education and Experience

• You hold a scientific and/or medical degree (Master's degree or equivalent)
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager

Skills and Qualities

• In-depth knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard
• Good knowledge of methods and tools for conducting scientific and clinical projects
• Knowledge in the field of medical imaging, Health data and/or Artificial Intelligence would be appreciated
• Writing skills (notably in scientific and medical communication);
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
• You are organized and have the ability to prioritize;
• Proficiency in scientific English (attending meetings and writing in English).
