BIM Coordinator
Job Summery
As a BIM Coordinator, you will play a critical role within Fonda Global by coordinating and transforming design concepts into highly accurate 3D digital construction models across Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines. Using software like Revit and AutoCAD, your primary focus will be managing clash detection to identify and resolve integration issues between building systems before construction begins.
You will collaborate directly with consultants, clients, and our site teams to coordinate work plans, update models based on new design revisions, and generate precise 2D shop and as-built drawings from the models. Additionally, you will assist the BIM Manager in developing and maintaining our established BIM workflows, ensuring that all design and construction documentation strictly follows project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.
Team Management and Coordination:
- Oversee, coordination and manage BIM Modelers to meet all submission deadlines and inform exchange schedules as documented in the BIM execution Plan
- Provide training, mentorship and technical support to modelers and team members.
- Act as a primary point of coordination between client, consultants and sub-contractors.
Clash Detection & ICE Meeting:
- Perform regular clash detection between structure, Architecture and MEP models.
- Use Navisworks or collaborative platforms to generate detailed clash detection reports and track progress.
- Manage and chair coordination meetings between consultants, main contractor and sub-contractors.
Modelling and Quality control:
- Oversee the full 3D modelling process across Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines, ensuring a seamless transition from 3D models to accurate, buildable 2D shop drawings.
- Review, audit, and validate the models created by different disciplines to ensure they are clash-free, accurate, and compliant with project requirements and organizational standards.
- Develop, maintain, and update the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) throughout the project lifecycle, conducting regular audits to ensure strict compliance.
- Develop and manage construction models for 4Dsimulation (Scheduling) and 5D quantification (Cost) to support overall project management.
- Ensure all BIM models are accurately updated to reflect responses from RFIs, RFAs, consultant communications, and decisions made during ICE meetings.
