We are seeking a Team Leader in control systems and automation

For a client in the maritime industry, we are seeking an experienced Team Leader in control systems and automation.

This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine people management with technical work in an international environment. You will lead a competent team of automation and control systems engineers working with the development, design, testing, and follow-up of advanced maritime and offshore-related equipment.

The position involves both technical and personnel responsibility, and you will play a central role in ensuring efficient work processes, high technical quality, and successful project execution.

Tasks

• Lead, develop, and follow up a team of control systems and automation engineers
• Plan, prioritize, and distribute work tasks within the team
• Ensure progress and quality in ongoing projects
• Participate actively in the development and design of PLC-based control systems
• Contribute to technical solutions in collaboration with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and project environments
• Follow up on testing, commissioning, and technical support
• Report status and progress to engineering and project management
• Contribute to continuous improvement of work processes and technical solutions

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Higher technical education in automation, mechatronics, software, electrical, or equivalent
• Solid experience with the development and programming of PLC-based control systems
• Experience with HMI and SCADA solutions
• Documented leadership experience with personnel responsibility
• Good understanding of industrial control systems and automation
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Desired qualifications, not a requirement:

• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal
• Experience with frequency converters and motor control
• Knowledge of OT networks and cybersecurity
• Experience from maritime, offshore, or process industry
• Experience with commissioning and testing
