About us

Försvarsmaktens logistik (FMLOG) is responsible for logistics support to units, schools, and centers within Försvarsmakten - nationally and internationally. Within FMLOG is Försvarsmaktens Transportenhet with functional management responsibility for transport services within Försvarsmakten, as well as the task of coordinating the implementation of Försvarsmakten's strategic and operational transports of personnel, materiel, as well as entire units. Transports occur, among other things, as air transport, sea transport, road and rail transports, both within and outside the country.

About the department

The Freight Forwarding Department's tasks include the entire freight chain with continuous contact regarding land, air, and sea transports of Försvarsmakten's materiel systems, as well as in export support commitments for other government agencies. The Freight Forwarding Department's main tasks are to handle cross-border and national transports.

Main duties

In the role of Freight Forwarding Agent with a focus on import, you are responsible for preparing and submitting customs declarations upon import and ensuring correct classification of goods, handling of reassessments, transfers, applications for customs suspension, and ensuring that customs handling is carried out in accordance with applicable customs legislation, regulations, and internal routines.

Furthermore, you support Försvarsmakten and Försvarets Materielverk with expertise regarding import, export, and dangerous goods shipments. You are responsible for ensuring that transports take place according to plan and cost-effectively, taking into account applicable regulations. The role also includes participation in other staff work for TpE within FMLOG as well as participation in national and international operations and exercises. Travel occurs in the position.

Qualifications

• Documented completed post-secondary education in freight forwarding, transport planning, or equivalent documented practical experience that Försvarsmakten assesses as equivalent.
• Experience of working within the last 3 years in the Freight Forwarding industry towards international trade.
• Engelska B.
• Good knowledge of Excel for the preparation of, among other things, freight invoices.
• Driving license B.

• Documented export control license.
• Previously documented service with Försvarsmakten's materiel, laws, and regulations.
• Knowledge of regulations for dangerous goods.
• Knowledge and experience of Incoterms.
