Pilates Instructor (Polestar-trained, Mandarin-speaking)

About the role Focus Movement is a clinical Pilates and physiotherapy studio at 22 Malacca Street. We are hiring a full-time Pilates instructor to teach group reformer classes and private sessions. A significant share of our clients communicate primarily in Mandarin, so fluent Mandarin is a core requirement of this role: you will teach, cue, consult and write client notes in Mandarin as well as English.

Responsibilities

• Teach group reformer classes and 1-on-1 private sessions to a mixed clientele, including clients with injuries or clinical conditions
• Conduct initial assessments and build progressive programmes for private clients
• Work closely with our physiotherapists on clients transitioning from rehab to Pilates
• Keep accurate session notes and client records in MindBody
• Support studio operations: equipment care, class scheduling input, client follow-up
• Take part in ongoing in-house training and mentoring

Requirements

• Polestar Pilates certification (Comprehensive, or Mat + Reformer with Comprehensive in progress)
• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin and English, to work with our Mandarin-speaking clients
• Minimum 2 years' teaching experience in reformer and mat Pilates
• Experience working with clinical or post-rehab clients
• Confident with client assessment and programme design
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working rostered shifts including evenings and weekends
