Pharmacist

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and responsibly.
• Review prescriptions to ensure appropriate medication, dosage, and usage.
• Provide patients with guidance on medication use, dosage, side effects, and precautions.
• Monitor and manage drug inventory, ensuring adequate stock and proper storage.
• Check medication expiry dates and ensure expired or damaged products are properly handled.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, drug sales, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, professional standards, and ethical practices.
• Attend to patients' pharmaceutical enquiries and provide appropriate guidance.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals where necessary.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and professionally maintained.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D).
• Must be registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
• Must possess a valid practicing license.
• Previous experience working in a community pharmacy or healthcare facility is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of medications, dispensing procedures, and pharmaceutical care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professional standards.
