Global Procurement Buyer

A global industrial company is looking for a Procurement Buyer

To join the Procurement Department, for a significant role involving responsibility for managing subcontractors and suppliers in the field of machining in Israel and abroad. The role includes working in a dynamic industrial environment, with many interfaces with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Planning, alongside ongoing work with suppliers and subcontractors in Israel and various countries abroad.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsibility for procurement, management, and ongoing contact with subcontractors and suppliers in the field of machining in Israel and abroad.
• Management of several subcontractors in the fields of machining, coatings, and other manufacturing processes.
• Execution of purchase orders, monitoring orders and delivery dates.
• Responsibility for availability and capacity at subcontractors according to production needs.
• Responsibility and monitoring of inventory held at subcontractors, including performing inventory counts and controls.
• Management of overseas procurement, including shipment coordination, handling shipping issues, and monitoring deliveries.
• Conducting negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors, including prices, terms, and agreements.
• Ongoing work with internal interfaces: Production Control, Planning, Quality, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, and Operations.
• Working in close collaboration with Engineering personnel and adapting procurement solutions to engineering and manufacturing needs.
• Working with suppliers and subcontractors in Israel and abroad, including Thailand, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.
• Increasing production capabilities and capacity with subcontractors in Israel and abroad.
• Ongoing work in the SAP system and management of procurement and inventory data.

Job Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement roles in an industrial environment.
• Experience in overseas procurement – Mandatory.
• Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors in machining processes – Significant advantage.
• Experience working in a global company / global industrial environment – Advantage.
• Experience in negotiation and agreements with suppliers.
• Good familiarity with import processes, international shipping, and Incoterms.
• Ability to read drawings and understand engineering and manufacturing processes – Mandatory.
• Experience working with inventory management systems.
• Experience working with SAP – Mandatory.
• High level of English, including the ability to conduct conversations and manage dealings with suppliers abroad.
• Ability to work with many interfaces, order and organization, independence, and the ability to drive processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a high ability to manage relationships with suppliers and internal interfaces.

Education

• Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management – Advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration – Possible.
