Job Vacancy Maintenance Mechanic – Evergem

As a maintenance mechanic, you will work together with your colleagues to ensure the preventive and curative maintenance of the machine park. You ensure that malfunctions are resolved quickly and professionally and contribute to a safe and efficient production environment.

Your tasks

• You perform preventive and curative maintenance on machines and installations.
• You troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and carry out the necessary repairs.
• You work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• You contribute to the proper and safe operation of the machine park.
• You perform small welding tasks if necessary.
• You actively think along regarding improvements and solutions.
• You work both independently and in a team.

Your profile

• You have a diploma in a technical field or are equivalent through experience.
• You possess a thorough knowledge of mechanics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity is required.
• You have experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably within a production environment or heavy industry.
• Experience with small welding tasks is a plus.
• You are technically minded and have a true hands-on mentality.
• You can work independently and take initiative.
• You are willing to work in a shift system and occasionally on Saturday mornings.
• You have a good knowledge of English.
• You preferably live within a radius of approximately 30 km of Evergem.
