Automation Engineer

We are expanding our team and are looking for 1 Automation Engineer (m/f/d) for the Althofen location. You are responsible for the automation of existing processes in production and contribute to further increasing the degree of automation. The focus is on making processes more efficient, smarter, and future-oriented.
You will shape this area with:
- You continuously increase the degree of automation of our production processes in series production - from the initial idea to successful implementation.
- With your technical understanding and creativity, you optimize and automate existing production plants and systems.
- Together in a team, you are responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of new automation concepts to increase the efficiency and sustainability of our production processes - and you also contribute operationally (hands-on mentality).
- You analyze potential technical solutions and evaluate their feasibility as well as the economic cost-benefit ratio.
- In close cooperation with colleagues from software development, operations, and engineering, you ensure that new technologies are successfully implemented, further developed, and used sustainably.
- In all your activities, you take into account our performance, production, and quality metrics as well as the applicable regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, safety standards).
These skills would be great:
- Completed technical education (HTL, FH, Uni) in the field of automation technology, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of automation technology (conception, development, and implementation of automation solutions).
- Strong passion for automation, robotics, and innovative technologies
- Ability to systematically analyze complex problems and derive sustainable and economically sensible solutions
- Basic statistical knowledge is an advantage (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt)
- Independent, structured, and precise way of working
- Confident appearance and communication skills when dealing with international suppliers and customers (English in spoken and written form)
