Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Power Plant Operator role based in Sagamu. The Power Plant Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling power generation equipment to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient plant operations. Daily activities include starting, stopping, and adjusting machinery; reading and interpreting meters, gauges, and control panels; and recording operational data. The role involves routine inspections, identifying equipment irregularities, performing basic preventive maintenance, and coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs. The operator will follow safety procedures, support energy optimization efforts, and respond to alarms or emergencies to minimize downtime and protect personnel and assets. Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Power Generation and Power Plants to manage reliable energy supply and understand overall plant systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Plant Operations and Power Plant Operations to monitor, control, and optimize day-to-day plant performance.
• Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance to perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to read technical manuals, operational logs, and interpret instrumentation and control system data.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
• Prior experience in power plant, industrial utilities, or heavy equipment operation is highly beneficial.
• Technical diploma, trade certification, or degree in electrical, mechanical, or power engineering, or a related field is preferred.
