Design Manager

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager to join a main contractor based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design process, ensuring quality and timely delivery of design solutions, and managing a team of designers to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design team in developing innovative and practical design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.
• Manage the design process from concept development through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design with construction processes and ensure seamless project delivery.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the design team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications to maintain quality and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor design implementation and address any design-related issues that may arise during construction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the design process and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the fit out or construction industry, with a strong portfolio of successful design projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other related applications.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a creative design team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to effectively engage with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve complex design challenges and ensure design integrity.
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality design solutions within project constraints.
