Global Commodity Engineer Casting (m/f/d)

For our strategic procurement team, we are looking for dedicated reinforcement at the Chemnitz or Voerde location.

Exciting tasks await you:

• Participation in decisions regarding supplier selection and supplier evaluation
• Execution of supplier evaluation (SES) as well as auditing of foundries
• Error analysis, definition of corrective measures, and follow-up with foundries
• Implementation or controlling of defined qualification measures and determination of quality KPIs
• Conducting quality discussions with suppliers as well as participation in supplier development programs
• Application of preventive quality methods for risk minimization

What you bring to the role:

• Successfully completed studies in the field of foundry technology or comparable qualification
• Experience in supplier auditing (VDA 6.3)
• Good knowledge of casting manufacturing processes, technologies, and materials science
• Knowledge of quality techniques (8-D, 5W, FMEA) as well as measuring and testing techniques
• Strong analytical skills, confident and communicative appearance, assertiveness, and decision-making ability
• Initiative, ability to learn, teamwork, organizational skills, and quality and customer orientation
• Advanced English skills in speaking and writing
• Willingness to travel domestically and abroad (20 %)
