Investment Technology Lead – Front Office Architecture (PMS/OMS, SimCorp)

Your tasks

You will be the technical lead for the front-office transformation programme. You will own the target-state architecture, lead solution design and integration decisions, and act as the client's technical voice with platform vendors and implementation partners.

This is a hands-on design leadership role. It is not a project management or delivery coordination role.

• Work with portfolio managers, traders, research, risk and investment operations to map current workflows and define future-state requirements
• Own the solution architecture across portfolio management, order management, execution, compliance, risk, performance and market data platforms
• Define the target-state architecture and the migration path from legacy platforms
• Design integrations: APIs, event-driven patterns, file interfaces, data pipelines and cloud integration services
• Set data ownership, lineage, reconciliation and control standards for security master, instrument, position, transaction, pricing, benchmark and reference data
• Work with data engineering teams on scalable solutions using Snowflake and cloud platforms
• Define non-functional requirements: performance, availability, security, resilience, observability and disaster recovery
• Lead technical design reviews and give hands-on guidance to engineering, data, integration and testing teams
• Challenge vendor and system integrator designs, and hold partners to technical standards and milestones
• Contribute to platform selection, build-versus-buy decisions and the multi-year investment technology roadmap
• Promote engineering standards across CI/CD, automated testing, cybersecurity and operational resilience

Requirements

What you must have Please apply only if you meet all of the following:

1. 12+ years in technology, with at least 5 years in buy-side investment technology (asset manager, sovereign or pension fund, insurer investment arm, or a vendor or consultancy serving them)
2. Current or recent role as Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Lead Engineer or Investment Technology Lead
3. Hands-on delivery of at least one front-office platform implementation or migration (PMS, OMS, EMS or trading platform), in a design-owning role
4. Clear understanding of the end-to-end investment lifecycle: research, portfolio management, order management, pre-trade compliance, trading, risk, performance and downstream operations
5. Proven design of complex integrations and data flows across multiple investment platforms
6. Experience working directly with senior investment and technology stakeholders, and managing vendors, integrators and consultants
7. Eligible to work in Singapore

Strongly preferred

• Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension and/or FlexTrade
• Bloomberg investment and market data solutions (e.g. AIM, TOMS, B-PIPE, Data License)
• Other OMS/EMS platforms such as Charles River, Aladdin, Eze or LSEG
• Electronic trading platforms and broker connectivity (FIX)
• Snowflake and public cloud (AWS or Azure) data platforms

Other

This role is not a fit if

• Your experience is mainly project or programme management, without owning technical design
• Your background is retail banking, payments or general enterprise IT, with no front-office investment exposure
• You have worked only on back-office, fund accounting or settlements systems
• Your trading technology experience is sell-side only, with no portfolio management or buy-side workflow exposure
