pharmacy aide

Education:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience.

Work setting:

Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate.

Tasks:

• Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate.
• Help pharmacists.
• Maintain prescription records .
• Prepare medications for clients.
• Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear.
• Set up and dismantle equipment.
• Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians.
• Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages.
• Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts.
• Design and fabricate ocular implants.
• Record information about donors.
• Bill third party insurers.
• Remove organs and tissue specimens from bodies in morgue as directed by pathologist.
• Connect treatment machines to patients, as directed by chiropractor.
