Overview :

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Estimator on behalf of one of our clients. This a key role within the business, responsible for accurately pricing projects, supporting the sales process and ensuring a smooth handover from tender through to order. Ideal role for someone with a construction/trade background looking to get into estimating/sales. Company oncourse to grow to over £10million revenue by 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and review incoming tender information, ensuring all requirements are fully understood.
• Liaise directly with clients to clarify project scope, specifications and requirements.
• Prepare accurate budgets and quotations in line with client needs and company margins.
• Work closely with the sales team to support the wider bid and sales process.
• Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Keep the CRM system fully up to date with tender status, client communications and quotation details.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous construction experience looking to get into estimating/sales
• Previous experience in an estimating role desirable, ideally within electrical or smoke ventilation industries.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and confidence liaising with clients.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of CRM systems and general IT proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.).
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach to work.
