Private Client Fee Earner – Wills & Probate
About the company
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Fee Earner to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Chelmsford.
Your tasks
Our client is looking for a confident and capable individual with a minimum of two years' practical experience in Wills, Powers of Attorney and Probate.
- Preparing and drafting Wills
- Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Handling Probate and estate administration matters
- Managing a varied private client caseload
- Liaising directly with clients, beneficiaries and other professionals
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation
- Providing professional and compassionate advice to clients
- Ensuring files are managed accurately and efficiently
Requirements
They are flexible on qualifications and would welcome applications from experienced Private Client Solicitors, Legal Executives and Paralegals, provided they have the knowledge and ability to manage their own work independently.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in Wills, LPAs and Probate
- Confident preparing legal documents independently
- Practical experience handling Probate matters
- Ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience working within a law firm or private client department
Please note: This position requires practical fee-earning experience rather than solely administrative or legal support experience.
Formal legal qualifications are not essential. Our client is primarily interested in finding someone with the right experience who can hit the ground running.
