Hygiene Operative
Location: Newmarket Pay Rate: £14.73 per hour Shift: Night Shift 21:30pm – 05:30am Working Pattern: Night shifts, including weekends
About the Company
Our client is a global leader in food production , supplying major retailers including Tesco, Costco and other leading supermarkets with a wide range of fresh and frozen meat products. We are currently recruiting for Night Hygiene Operatives to join their busy production site in Newmarket.
The Role
As a Night Hygiene Operative, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. You will work across different production areas, ensuring machinery, equipment and facilities are cleaned to the required hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks across the production site.
- Clean processing equipment and production lines to the required standards.
- Complete deep cleaning of both high-risk and low-risk production areas.
- Carry out post-cleaning checks to ensure all areas have been cleaned correctly.
- Follow all company procedures relating to Health & Safety and Hygiene.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and PPE are maintained and functioning correctly.
- Report any incidents, issues or concerns to your Line Manager.
- Complete any additional duties as required by your Line Manager.
Working Hours
21:30 – 05:30 Night shift working Weekend working required
What We're Looking For
- Previous cleaning, hygiene or food production experience would be beneficial.
- Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and hardworking attitude.
- Comfortable working night shifts and weekends.
- Willingness to follow strict Health & Safety and hygiene procedures.
