Laboratory Technician Required - Temporary for 6 months

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the R&D team, to perform laboratory work in the field of cell biology and plant tissue cultures. The role includes working under sterile conditions, supporting research and development projects, and collaborating with various professional interfaces within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Performing working methods in the field of cell biology and plant tissue cultures
• Harvesting fruits for the purpose of embryo production and extraction under sterile conditions
• Delicate and precise work with plant tissues
• Preparation of media, materials, equipment, and tools for sterile work according to protocols
• Documentation of processes and data in computerized systems
• Performing laboratory tests, labeling, and plant sampling
• Managing test shipments abroad
• Performing and monitoring health tests for seeds
• Participation in a variety of tasks and projects in the laboratory
• Support and collaborative work with the technician team
• Routine work with production, cultivation, and quality control teams

Job Scope

• 90% laboratory work
• 10% field work in greenhouses
• Working hours: 07:00-16:00 or 06:00-15:00
• Thursday: Short working day

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or an Engineering Technician in a relevant field
• Experience working with plant cultures – a significant advantage
• Precision, patience, and the ability to perform delicate work over long periods
• Ability to work under sterile conditions and strict adherence to working procedures
• Ability to work in a team and excellent interpersonal skills
• Responsibility, order, and the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in computer work
• Good level of English
• Proficiency in Office applications
