Factory Manager – Food Manufacturing Plant
Job Details A stable and long-standing food manufacturing company is looking for a Factory Manager to be responsible for overall factory management, overseeing approximately 120–130 employees.
This position is responsible for end-to-end factory operations, covering Production, Production Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Engineering, Maintenance, QC, Food Safety, Manpower, and Cost Control. Reporting directly to senior management, this role plays a crucial part in driving factory Performance, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and continuously developing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage overall factory operations to achieve goals in production, quality, cost, delivery, and Food Safety.
- Manage approximately 120–130 employees through the factory management team and supervisors.
- Directly supervise 3 team members.
- Coordinate with Production, Production Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Engineering, Maintenance, QC, and related departments.
- Plan and manage annual and monthly production plans.
- Manage Manpower, raw materials, machinery, equipment, and resources necessary for production.
- Monitor Factory Performance and resolve production and operational issues.
- Define and control standards, work procedures, and internal control systems within the factory.
- Ensure production processes comply with company standards, Customer Requirements, laws, and Food Safety regulations.
- Lead the Implementation and development of BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9, GHPs, and HACCP systems.
- Prepare for Customer Visits, Certification Audits, and Regulatory Inspections.
- Analyze Root Cause and define Corrective & Preventive Action for production and quality issues.
- Oversee machinery installation projects, factory improvements, and Preventive Maintenance.
- Drive Productivity, Cost Reduction, Waste Reduction, and Operational Efficiency.
- Plan and manage Manpower, including allocating resources appropriately for the business.
- Develop and Coach department heads and managers in each section.
- Create a work culture of Accountability and responsibility for results.
- Report Factory Performance, Risk, and Action Plans to management.
- Able to communicate with international customers during Customer Visits.
Qualifications:
- Male only, aged approximately 40–52 years.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Experience in managing a food manufacturing plant.
- Experience in positions such as Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Senior Production Management.
- Experience in the Sauce, Seasoning, Sauce, Condiment, or related food product business.
- Knowledge and experience in BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 regarding Implementation, Audit Preparation, and Corrective Action.
- Understanding of Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Cost Control, and Manpower Management.
- High leadership skills with abilities in Decision Making, Problem Solving, and People Management.
- Able to use English at a Basic Conversation level; able to reply to Emails and communicate with foreign customers during Customer Visits.
