Factory Technician (Mechanical & Utility Technician)

We are looking for a skilled technician to take care of the "heart of the system" and the "production lifeline" (Piping & Mechanical, Air Compressor, Boiler, Wet & Air Scrubber, Wastewater Treatment, Air Condition, HVAC) of the factory, ensuring continuous, safe, and maximum efficiency to drive the organization towards Lean Manufacturing together.
Act as the "Central Utility Leader" by coordinating with electrical and building technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Utility Production:
- Control and maintain the Compressed Air system; inspect and reduce Air Leak rates to save energy.
- Inspect and control the operation of the Boiler, including industrial gas systems (Oxygen, LPG, Argon) to ensure safety according to standards.
- Oversee the water supply, Cooling Water, and process water systems to ensure continuous supply.
- Mechanical & HVAC:
- Inspect, perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), and repair air conditioning systems (ceiling-mounted/wall-mounted) to control temperature and humidity in the production line.
- Inspect fire protection systems, drainage systems, and building sanitation to ensure they are in ready-to-use condition.
- Support the installation, relocation, or improvement of machine positions in the production process.
- Environmental & Pollution Control:
- Control and maintain the Wastewater Treatment system; inspect the operation of Pumps and replenish chemicals according to the schedule.
- Oversee the Scrubber system, Blowers, and Ducting systems to efficiently capture chemicals and precious metal dust.
- Record treatment system operation data and prepare reports for supervisors.
- Lean & TPM Support:
- Collaborate with the multi-skilled technician team in performing 5S activities (Sort, Set in order, Shine) and safety measures in the Utility Room.
- Record repair history and perform Root Cause analysis to reduce machine breakdowns (Zero Breakdown).
Qualifications: Education: Vocational Certificate - High Vocational Certificate in Factory Mechanics, Industrial Technician, or related fields. Experience: 8 years or more in a Factory Technician and Utility system position, with direct responsibility for Utility systems, energy piping systems (gas, air), Boiler, Air conditioning, or treatment systems in an industrial factory for at least 1-2 years. Essential License: (Mandatory) Boiler Operator license. Preferred Licenses: (Considered first): Gas control license (LPG / Argon / Oxygen), Certificate of Knowledge and Competence in Building Electrician (according to labor law) "Electrician ID Card", Water / Air Pollution Controller Registration (Environmental Care License). Skills and Knowledge: Welding skills; knowledge of Piping & Mechanical systems, water pumps, Air Compressor, Boiler & Steam Utility System, pneumatic piping systems, and Chiller/HVAC systems. Training: Completed safety training at the operational level or supervisory level. Attributes: Able to handle heavy work; able to work safely in environments with chemicals (Plating/Wastewater Treatment departments) while wearing full PPE. Understand Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Kaizen concepts; have a proactive attitude towards PM, are detail-oriented, and are ready to work with the team to develop new skills. Good computer skills for work. Good English language skills for work.
