Project Management Officer

Your tasks

This position is responsible for managing New Model product development projects by acting as a central coordination hub with all relevant departments to ensure that customer prototypes are successfully transferred into the product development and production processes for sale to customers, in accordance with both the timeline and quality plans.

1. Attend meetings with customers to acknowledge and confirm customer requirements regarding New Model development plans / New Business plans.
2. Coordinate meetings to track the progress of New Model development plans with relevant departments according to the project phases (Gate review).
3. Follow up on / participate in resolving obstacles during operations with relevant departments and/or provide feedback to improve operational approaches.
4. Take over from the Sale team to support customer activities after receiving the Award.
5. Follow up, collect data, and summarize reports to the GM and Marelli according to the specified cycles.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Good English communication skills (TOEIC 600); Japanese communication skills will be given special consideration.
3. 5-7 years of experience in a Project Management Engineer position within the automotive industry (considering business type and factory size).
4. 3-5 years of experience in a Supervisor position will be given special consideration.
5. Ability to face and manage conflict situations.
6. Strong problem-solving skills (containment & counter-measure).
7. Planning and analytical thinking skills.
8. Ability to make rational decisions and/or decisions based on reliable supporting data.
9. Effective communication skills; able to persuade, negotiate, and dare to express opinions even when they differ.
10. Certificate in Core tools IATF 16949 training.
