Who are we?

The Sylvan Adams Institute for Sports Science at Tel Aviv University is looking for a technology and information systems professional with diverse capabilities to lead the infrastructure, automation, and operation of the Institute's systems. The role combines routine operational work alongside leading fascinating technological projects in the world of sports and research.

Job Description:

Responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and quality control of the information systems and computing infrastructure at the Institute. The role includes managing technological interfaces, providing routine operational response (troubleshooting, repairs, and updates), and implementing information security procedures in accordance with the University's standards and requirements. Additionally, the role requires technical accompaniment and support for sports and medical measurement equipment, working with external and internal integration entities for proper data flow, and close cooperation with the professional and research staff.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

Management and maintenance of information systems (approx. 70% of the time): CRM, payment processing, room/laboratory management software, etc. Involvement and support in procurement processes for technological and scientific equipment: analyzing and comparing price quotes, reading technical specifications, identifying alternatives, and routine dealings with suppliers. Full responsibility for the Institute's IT infrastructure and managing a direct and routine connection with the University's central IT department.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

Leading automation and integration processes (approx. 30% of the time): customer processes: connecting the CRM system to payment systems, and distribution and communication channels (such as WhatsApp). Technological connection between sports/medical measurement equipment and the Institute's data management systems (including wireless connection settings and data transfer protocols).

Mandatory:

• Two years of experience in technological management/operation and/or information systems.
• Technical understanding and experience in supporting a variety of hardware and software systems, including familiarity with communication networks and data transfer interfaces.
• Experience in the operation and/or implementation of CRM systems.
• High level of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Good command of Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a high service orientation.

Significant Advantage/Advantage:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering and Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field - significant advantage.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Make/Zapier - significant advantage.
• Familiarity and connection with the world of sports and/or training - significant advantage.
• Experience working with MONDAY - advantage.
• Familiarity with AI worlds - including Claude Code / Codex / similar - advantage.
• Ability to provide technical support for advanced training and medical measurement equipment - advantage.
