Mantoulidis Schools are looking for candidates for the position of IT Coordinator.

Purpose of the position:

We are looking for an IT Coordinator to coordinate the activities of the IT department, ensuring the proper operation of information systems (hardware & software), system security, the execution of IT projects, and compliance with legal requirements. The position reports to the General Management and the role requires continuous monitoring of IT infrastructures and the management of technology strategy, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of systems and the upgrading of the organization's processes.

Main Responsibilities:

Coordination & Management of the IT Department

• Coordinates and manages all activities of the IT department, including daily tasks, projects, and support requests.
• Ensures the uninterrupted operation of information systems, such as hardware, software, networks, and applications.
• Responsible for the immediate restoration of problems through Disaster Recovery Plan & IT Recovery Strategies.
• Responsible for the security of systems and the network, and compliance with GDPR and other legal data protection requirements.

Budget & Performance Management

• Drafts and monitors the annual IT department budget, which is approved by the management.
• Monitors compliance with the budget for expenses and fixed costs and undertakes the monitoring of investment programs in the area of responsibility.
• Defines and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the improvement of the department's performance.

Implementation & Support of IT Projects

• Responsible for the monitoring and execution of IT projects, such as the development of new software, procurement of equipment, and cooperation with suppliers.
• Analysis of business requirements and proposal/development of IT solutions to improve efficiency.
• Responsible for the architecture and processes of IT infrastructures, ensuring their continuous evolution.
• In every development of new software by an external partner, oversees the creation of the user manual provided by the partner upon project completion.

Management of Daily Tasks & User Support

• Ensures the daily operation of all IT systems through regular checks and troubleshooting.
• Provides support and advisory services to administrative and educational staff, as well as to the parents of students.
• Manages correspondence and communications, ensuring that important correspondence is immediately forwarded to the substitute in case of absence.

IT Policy Management & Compliance

• Undertakes the implementation and execution of IT security policies, ensuring the protection of company data.
• Drafts and monitors internal processes, such as suppliers, contracts, and evaluations for IT partners.
• In case of absence, activates automatic replies and appoints a substitute with an email update for the smooth continuation of work.

Candidate Profile:

Required Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or equivalent from a recognized institution in Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering, or another related specialty.
• Postgraduate degree in the field of informatics.
• Proven experience (at least 3 years) in managing large IT projects and developing IT infrastructures across various technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of information systems, security, network management, databases, data storage systems, and telephone systems.
• Previous professional experience in databases, SQL, systems management, software development, and WordPress.
• Familiarity with user management, access rights, and IT equipment.
• Foreign Languages: English.
