Quality Assurance / Quality Control Assistant Manager
QA/QC Management •Support the QA General Manager in managing daily QA/QC operations. •Monitor and analyze quality performance, defect rates, PPM, customer claims, and quality KPIs. •Follow up corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely implementation. •Support quality control activities for Plastic Injection, Silicone Injection, and Inflation processes. Quality Problem Solving & Improvement •Lead and support quality problem-solving activities using 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, 7 QC Tools, PDCA, and other appropriate methods. •Analyze root causes and establish effective corrective and preventive actions. •Work closely with Production, Engineering, QC, and other related departments to reduce defects and improve process capability. •Drive continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and reduce quality losses. Quality Management System •Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 / Quality Management System. •Support internal and external audits and follow up audit findings and corrective actions. •Review and improve QA/QC procedures, inspection standards, Control Plans, specifications, and related quality documents. •Ensure compliance with customer and company quality requirements. Customer & External Communication •Coordinate with customers, Japan QA/Buyer, suppliers, and external testing laboratories regarding quality issues and testing requirements. •Prepare and review quality reports and communicate quality issues clearly and professionally. •Support investigation and response to customer complaints and quality concerns. Leadership & Team Building •Coach, develop, and motivate QA/QC team members. •Establish effective communication and good working relationships within the team. •Delegate responsibilities appropriately and follow up team performance. •Develop team members' technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a supervisory or leadership position is preferred. Experience in Plastic Injection, Silicone Injection, or Inflation/Plastic Film is highly desirable. Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems. Good understanding of 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, 7 QC Tools, PDCA, and problem-solving techniques. Knowledge of inspection methods, AQL, Control Plan, CAPA, and quality improvement activities. Knowledge of IATF 16949 / Automotive Core Tools is an advantage. Good command of English, especially for email and business communication. Japanese language ability is an advantage. Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
