Import and Procurement Manager

Ami Medical Technologies, a leading company in the medical device field, is recruiting an Import and Procurement Manager to lead the company's procurement and import system, with an emphasis on planning, control, supervision, and the availability and quality of inventory. The role constitutes a central function in managing the company's operational and commercial activity, and includes end-to-end responsibility for procurement processes in Israel and abroad, import activity, shipping, customs brokerage, inventory management, and interfaces with suppliers and intra-organizational entities. We are looking for an experienced manager, with a broad understanding of the procurement and import worlds, a systemic business vision, and the ability to lead processes that directly affect product availability, service level, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of the procurement and import system in the company, from the procurement stage until the product arrives for inventory reception.
• Management, leadership, and development of the procurement and import team, including task distribution, professional supervision, and implementation of work routines.
• Procurement planning through inventory modeling and control, and delivery times.
• Ongoing relationship management with suppliers in Israel and worldwide, order tracking, and also export activities of instruments for repairs.
• Management of import processes, international shipping, customs brokerage, and coordination with regulatory bodies, while adhering to the import budget against sales forecasts.
• Ongoing work with intra-organizational interfaces, including sales, finance, logistics, regulation, and management, for the purpose of prioritizing activity.
• Initiative in leading improvement and efficiency measures in procurement, import, inventory management, and operational control processes.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement and import management – Mandatory.
• Experience working with international suppliers – Mandatory.
• Experience in inventory planning, demand management, and complex procurement processes – Mandatory.
• Familiarity with the Medical Device field, including consignment inventory – Advantage.
• In-depth familiarity with import processes, customs brokerage, and regulation – Mandatory.
• Very high level of English (speaking, reading, and writing) – Mandatory.
• Full proficiency in Office applications and ERP systems – Mandatory.
• Experience working with the Priority system – Significant advantage (familiarity with the MRP module).
• Experience in automation and AI processes in the procurement and import worlds – Advantage.
• Ability to work in a multi-interface environment, systemic vision, high level of order and organization, and the ability to drive processes.
