Planning Engineer

To plan, coordinate, and control production activities to ensure that production is completed according to customer requirements, production capacity, material availability, quality standards, and delivery schedules

Production Planning •Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, delivery requirements, production capacity, and available resources. •Plan production processes for watch case manufacturing, including processes such as machining, CNC, milling, grinding, polishing, finishing, assembly, inspection, and other related processes, as applicable. •Establish production schedules and priorities according to customer delivery requirements. •Monitor production orders and ensure that production activities are carried out according to the planned schedule. •Adjust production plans when there are changes in customer requirements, production capacity, machine availability, material shortages, or quality issues. •Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Foremen to ensure that production plans are practical and achievable. •Follow up on production progress and identify potential delays before they affect delivery schedules.

Material and Capacity Planning •Check material requirements and coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse to ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and production supplies. •Prepare and monitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) based on production orders and demand. •Coordinate with relevant departments regarding material shortages, delayed materials, and urgent requirements. •Analyze production capacity, manpower, machine availability, and working hours to support production planning. •Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints and propose appropriate solutions. •Balance production loading among machines, processes, and production lines where applicable.

Production Follow-up and Control •Monitor actual production output against the planned schedule. •Prepare and update production planning reports, including Plan vs. Actual, production progress, pending orders, and delivery status. •Follow up on work orders and production processes to ensure smooth production flow. •Escalate delays, shortages, machine problems, quality issues, and other production constraints to the responsible departments and management. •Coordinate recovery plans when production falls behind schedule. •Maintain accurate production planning data and records.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in production planning, production control, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is preferred. Good understanding of production processes, production planning, and manufacturing flow. Ability to analyze production capacity, manpower, machine utilization, and material requirements. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis. Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Good command of English is an advantage.
