Senior International Risk Management Officer
Want to be the professional factor that influences how international regulation is actually implemented in the bank? Bank Discount is recruiting a Senior Risk Management Officer for a professional and cross-functional role in the worlds of Cross-Border, FATCA, CRS, and American taxation. This is a role with real impact on the bank and the entire Discount Group: from the interpretation and implementation of international regulation, through the formulation of policy and work processes, to leading changes and end-to-end process automation. In this role, you will be a central professional factor in decision-making and resolving complex issues, working with business entities, legal counsel, group companies, tax authorities, the Banks Association, and external consultants.
What does the role include?
- Leading and implementing regulations in the fields of Cross-Border, international information exchange, and American taxation.
- Formulating and updating policies, procedures, and work processes in the bank and the group.
- Analyzing complex issues and writing professional opinions, control reports, and investigations.
- Integration of information and data into a comprehensive risk picture and formulation of professional recommendations.
- Accompanying automation and development processes end-to-end – from translating the regulatory requirement into a business and technological requirement to actual implementation.
- Providing professional advice and responses to divisions, branches, and business units in handling complex cases.
- Leading and coordinating the handling of inquiries and events with tax authorities and external entities.
- Performing controls, preparing regular reports and reports to tax authorities, and leading cross-functional projects in the field.
- Performing ongoing monitoring and control of the implementation of work processes and the professional activity of field personnel regarding information exchange and cross-border risks, with an emphasis on exercising professional judgment, the quality of ongoing handling, and compliance with high regulatory standards.
- Working in interfaces with legal counsel, compliance units, subsidiaries, and external professional consultants.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Economics/Business Administration/Law
- Extensive knowledge and at least two years of experience in implementing regulatory requirements in the field of cross-border risks, including banking activity in aspects of compliance with international tax laws and prevention of tax evasion and non-reporting, inter-state information exchange regulations, and information exchange standards (such as CRS, FATCA, QI agreement, and Cross-Border regulations)
- High-level Excel, including experience in building control reports
- High-level English
- Ability to organize and work in a multi-tasking and multi-interface environment, under binding deadlines
- Experience in independent work and leading complex initiatives
- Experience in writing and conducting training
- CPA - a significant advantage
