Training Department Head (HazMat) based in Map Kha, Rayong

1. Specialized Curriculum Planning and Development (HazMat Curriculum Development)

Laws and Standards: Develop curricula focusing on compliance with hazardous materials transportation regulations (e.g., ADR, UN, GHS, or relevant local laws).

Chemical Management: Design training regarding chemical Classifications, Labeling, Placarding, and proper loading according to Segregation Rules.

Advanced Safety Driving: Focus on Heavy Vehicle Defensive Driving curricula, especially in high-risk conditions.

1. Emergency Response Training

Emergency Response: Manage practical training (Simulation) in emergency situations such as leaks, fires, or accidents.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Provide training on the correct use of PPE appropriate for handling each type of chemical.

Documentation: Verify and provide training on the use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and legally required transportation documentation.

1. Supervision and Auditing

Skill Assessment: Conduct rigorous regular practical skill assessments of drivers, focusing on vehicle control under load and safe braking.

Recording and Reporting: Maintain Training Records in accordance with legal requirements and prepare Skill Gap Analysis reports related to accidents or incidents that have occurred.

1. External Coordination

Coordinate with government agencies or external experts (e.g., Department of Land Transport, firefighting experts) to ensure training standards are always up to date.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Safety, Transport Logistics, Science). At least 5 years of direct experience in training personnel for HazMat Transportation or safety in the petrochemical/chemical industry. Required: Must have in-depth knowledge of both domestic and international hazardous materials transportation regulations (e.g., ADR, IMDG, or DOT/EPA requirements, as applicable). Certification: Possession of a safety-related Train the Trainer certification or experience as a Safety Officer (Jor Por) will be given special consideration. Practical Skills: Ability to demonstrate and teach heavy vehicle driving skills proficiently. Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions in simulations or real-life situations. English Language: Ability to read and interpret safety manuals and HazMat documents (e.g., SDS) in English very well.
