Occupational Therapist

The Foundation for the Protection of Children & Youth with Developmental Disorders "Theotokos", as part of the staffing of its Occupational Therapy Service, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for full-time employment. The position involves five-day-a-week, full-time work, with physical presence at the Foundation's facilities.

Purpose of the Position: The Occupational Therapist is an important member of the Foundation's multidisciplinary team and actively contributes to the design and implementation of individualized therapeutic interventions. The primary purpose of the position is to enhance the functionality, autonomy, and active participation of children and youth in daily life. Through targeted occupational therapy intervention programs, the Occupational Therapist supports the development and acquisition of daily living skills, guided by the individual needs, abilities, and therapeutic goals of each beneficiary.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess: A Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized domestic University or Technological Institution or an equivalent recognized degree from abroad. License to practice the profession of Occupational Therapist. At least three (3) years of professional experience in providing services to children, adolescents, and/or adults with developmental disabilities. Completed training in Sensory Integration methodology. Training or specialization in evidence-based intervention methodologies and approaches for individuals with developmental disabilities, such as TEACCH, ABA, PECS, etc. Very good knowledge of the English language. Excellent computer literacy. Desired Skills & Abilities: Very good organizational skills and responsibility. Experience in social care structures or institutions. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Very good communication skills and the ability to develop relationships of trust. Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coordinate and effectively manage daily professional requirements.
