MRC energy company is recruiting an Operations Manager

For the Alon Tavor power plant, an Operations Manager is required for a central management role, including responsibility for leading the plant's operations system and ensuring safe, reliable, available, efficient, and economical operation of the production units and auxiliary systems.

• Management and leadership of all power plant operations activities during routine, exceptional events, and emergency situations.
• Responsibility for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the production units and auxiliary systems.
• Management of operations teams, plant chemists, and operations technicians, including professional development, certifications, skills, and performance control.
• Management of the shift system, setting priorities, and ensuring the operational readiness of the plant.
• Monitoring and analyzing plant performance, including availability, reliability, efficiency, and operational constraints, and leading continuous improvement processes.
• Leading operations work interfaces with Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and other plant departments.
• Leading the natural gas field at the plant from an operational aspect, including gas supply, orders, constraints, and readiness for supply interruption events.
• Professional work and interfaces with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field, or significant equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in the operation of a power plant or a complex industrial facility, with a significant preference for experience in a combined cycle power plant.
• Significant experience in operating a control room and electricity production systems.
• Previous experience in managing an operations team and/or in a shift supervisor role.
• Proven experience in employee management and leading multiple professional interfaces.
• Ability to analyze events and faults, make decisions, and lead processes under pressure.
• Ability for independent management, motivating employees and interfaces, and leading tasks from end to end.
• Ability to manage work plans and budgets.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and operational information systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• High-level technical English, reading, writing, and speaking.
