Supplier Development Engineer

Search for and select new suppliers in Bangkok and elsewhere to support new product and manufacturing process development Assess suppliers' technical knowledge, process control, and quality through on-site assessments Responsible for validating samples at the worksite, working in collaboration with R&D and Quality departments Provide supplier support during the production stage (tooling production), coordinating closely with the Purchasing department to discuss pricing and monitor supplier performance Propose technical or process improvement approaches to enhance cost, quality, and delivery time efficiency Prepare accurate reports and documentation regarding supplier capabilities, qualification status, and performance metrics

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or an equivalent field 2-5 years of experience in an industrial or technical environment; experience in Luxury packaging, Luxury Furniture, or related fields is a plus Deep technical understanding of various manufacturing processes such as cutting, forming, coating, plastic injection, metal plating, etc. Ability to assess factories, processes, and supplier quality Analytical thinking skills, field expertise, and excellent problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment Able to use English for work; ability to communicate at a level proficient with foreigners will be specially considered Able to work on two Saturdays per month
