Mold Sales Engineer
Contact and maintain existing customers, as well as find new customers in the automotive, electrical appliance, and plastic products industries. Receive customer information and requirements, such as Drawing, 3D Data, Specification, Material, and mold standards. Verify the completeness of information before sending it to the design department and relevant departments for quotation assessment. Coordinate the preparation of costs and quotations for molds, repair work, modification work, and mold changes. Negotiate sales terms, price, production lead time, payment terms, warranty, and delivery. Receive and verify Purchase Order to ensure it matches the quotation and agreements with the customer. Organize project kick-off meetings and pass information to Mold Design, Mold Manufacturing, Mold Assembly, Mold QC, and Mold Trial. Prepare and track mold work plans from project commencement until delivery. Report project progress to customers according to the schedule. Coordinate mold trials, part inspections, and problem-solving based on trial results. Follow up on the approval of parts, samples, and documents from customers. Control and track engineering changes, such as ECN, Design Change, and Mold Modification. Coordinate the resolution of complaints and follow up on corrective measures with relevant departments. Track the delivery of molds, supporting documents, and customer assets to ensure completeness. Follow up on billing, payments, and outstanding debts in coordination with the accounting department. Manage after-sales service, including mold repair, improvement, and maintenance work. Prepare sales forecasts, sales reports, and weekly or monthly project status reports. Analyze competitor data, prices, market trends, and business opportunities. Comply with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and customer requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mold, Plastics, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, or related fields. 2–5 years of experience in mold sales, plastic injection, or automotive parts. Understand the design, production, assembly, and trial processes of plastic injection molds. Able to read Drawing and 3D Data. Knowledge of mold materials, plastics, injection machines, and basic manufacturing processes. Able to prepare quotations, analyze costs, and calculate gross profit. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related programs. Able to communicate and negotiate with customers professionally. Able to communicate in English; proficiency in Korean, Japanese, or Chinese will be given special consideration. Possess a driver's license and able to travel to meet customers.
