R&D Researcher at Carmel Olefins

The purpose of the position is the development of innovative products, tailored to the needs of customers in Israel and worldwide, and providing professional technical service and consulting to customers.

Main Areas of Responsibility

1. Constant search for new products and bringing entrepreneurship to the development of polymers and the improvement of existing products.
2. Management of projects in the field of polymer development – through all their stages: initiation, development, research, and more – until the final result, including recommendations for implementation.
3. Taking responsibility for a specific area in the polymer development laboratory and managing it in all aspects, including leading initiatives for product change and improvement in coordination with production and sales.
4. Conducting professional teamwork, learning, and mutual fertilization within the research team in the laboratory.
5. Continuous contact with customers – providing technical support and responding to inquiries, proposals, and complaints, including identifying new opportunities, learning customer needs, and initiating new products and improving existing products.
6. Contact with knowledge development companies.
7. Contact with R&D departments of various companies.
8. Maintaining an extensive networking web with researchers and experts in Israel and worldwide in the field.

Education

Master's degree in Chemical/Materials Engineering with a focus on the field of polymers. Preference for a PhD.

Required Skills and Experience

• Approximately 5 years of experience in similar roles in the polymer field in industrial companies.
• Extensive and deep knowledge in the fields of polymers and plastic products, including characterization and laboratory testing.
• High level of English.
