Entry-Level Components Engineer

Your tasks

Overview We are looking for an Entry-Level Components Engineer to join our hardware team. You will help define, qualify and maintain the electronic components used in our products, with a focus on lowering purchase costs, improving delivery times and keeping components available over a product's life. This is an entry-level position, suited to a practical engineer or electronics engineer at the start of their career who wants to build a professional path in components engineering.

Support the definition of new and replacement components, to reduce purchase costs and improve delivery times Review the component lists (BOM) of new products, and help recommend components with advanced technology and a long life cycle Help find and test alternative solutions for components that reach end of life (EOL) Maintain and update the central component library Collect and organize component data: datasheets, manufacturer details and lifecycle status Work with suppliers and manufacturers in Israel and worldwide Work with guidance from senior engineers, taking on more independent ownership over tim

Requirements

Practical engineer or electronics engineer 1-2 years of experience in electronics, hardware, a lab, production or components work Basic familiarity with electronic components and the ability to read datasheets and schematics Good command of MS Excel Full command of Hebrew and English Organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines Clear written and oral communication, and a high service standard Ability to handle several tasks at once
