A large food industry company with international activity is seeking an experienced Plant & Operations Manager for the full management and operational function of its production facilities in the wider Thessaloniki area. The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for production, packaging, technical maintenance, warehouses, and the proper operation of the facilities, with key priorities being productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Main Responsibilities
- Overall management, organization, and supervision of the daily operation of the factory
- Coordination of the production, packaging, maintenance, and warehouse departments
- Ensuring the effective operation of mechanical equipment and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Supervision of the implementation of HACCP, ISO 22000, IFS, and BRCGS standards, in cooperation with the Quality Department
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in all areas of the factory
- Implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health and Safety rules
- Management, evaluation, and development of human resources
- Monitoring of performance indicators (KPIs), operating costs, productivity, and losses
- Development of continuous improvement processes and optimization of production operations
- Ensuring the readiness of the facilities for internal and external audits
- Planning and implementation of modernization and upgrade projects for facilities and equipment
- Regular reporting to the General Management
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering and Management, or a related specialty
- At least 10 years of professional experience in an industrial environment, with proven experience in a managerial position
- Previous experience in the food industry
- Strong technical understanding and experience in the management of production facilities
- Very good knowledge of quality, hygiene, and food safety systems
- Proven ability to manage personnel and coordinate different departments
- Organizational skills, decisiveness, leadership abilities, and result orientation
- Very good knowledge of the English language and ERP systems
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in food processing and packaging industries
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement
- Experience in managing industrial investments and technical projects
