Shorak Power Plant Operator (Rishon LeZion)

Job Description:

We are looking for an operator for a station team consisting of approximately 20 employees, half of whom are operators. The operator will divide their day between sitting in the control room monitoring parameters in various systems and going out to the site itself, patrolling the station, and performing various tasks. We are looking for a person seeking long-term employment, who finds the energy field fascinating, loves working in a team and in shifts, and is looking for their second home.

The work includes:

• Site patrols, including climbing floating stairs, as well as sitting in the control room monitoring screens.
• The operator is responsible for monitoring various processes manifested in the control room.
• The work is generally divided into 30% presence in the control room and monitoring parameters and controllers in various systems.
• And 70% patrols at the station site, following a checklist for various tasks, performing various tests and samplings throughout the station.
• Responsibility for performing various technical procedures, including information analysis and preparing reports based on the collected information.
• Ability to work in a team, including sharing information and regular updates. It should be emphasized that the role is under a team leader.
• Performing basic maintenance work related to the facility itself.
• Shifts: Day and night, including work on Saturdays and holidays - mandatory. Independent transportation.
• Technological education: Technological studies in fields such as electricity, mechanics, mechatronics, instrumentation, chemistry, or electronics - an advantage.
• Experience working in shifts - mandatory.
• Previous experience: Experience as an operator or operations team leader in process plants or power plants - an advantage.
• Experience in the turbine field: Experience with gas turbines, steam, pumps, generators, or air compressors - an advantage.
• Prior technical knowledge is required, including personal experience.
• Familiarity with DCS systems: Familiarity with process computing and information systems.
• Working in a computerized environment with basic proficiency in Office software and technical information systems.
• Good level of English - mandatory.
