Translator

Translate religious literature, audiovisual religious materials, correspondence with foreign organizations, and necessary documents from Luganda to English and from English to Luganda. Perform oral and written, full and summary translations, while ensuring the translations correspond to the lexical, stylistic, and semantic content of the originals, and comply with established requirements regarding the terms and definitions used. Provide oral interpretation during conversations, meetings, worship services, sermons, and other events conducted with the participation of persons who do not speak the language. Prepare annotations and abstracts on foreign religious literature. Comply with the internal labor regulations and other local normative acts of the organization. Comply with internal rules and standards of occupational health, safety, industrial sanitation, and fire protection. Ensure cleanliness and order at one's workplace. Execute, within the framework of the employment contract, the instructions of the employees to whom one is subordinate according to the job description.

Requirements

Proficiency in the Luganda language, with knowledge of the cultural characteristics of Uganda and religious terms. Proficiency in English at a conversational level. Confident PC skills at an experienced user level. Communicativeness. Discipline. Morality. Availability of work experience with religious organizations. Work in the employer's office, according to the schedule.
