Senior Process Engineer

Your tasks

You will

• Lead and drive projects in accordance with agreed deadlines and objectives;
• As a global R&D function, be responsible for the development of new product types, the development of new recipes, and the adaptation of global or regional recipes to local production and market conditions;
• Develop new products, performing work from prototype manufacturing for consumer testing and verifying the technical feasibility of given development parameters until the new product is implemented in production;
• Develop and issue all necessary technical documentation for the product prior to its launch into production. This includes recipes, production process descriptions, finished product specifications, HACCP documents, and raw material specifications, as well as documents according to the project management methodology (I2M);
• Participate in conducting experimental work to master new technological processes and implement them into production, as well as in developing programs and activities to improve technology and monitoring their execution;
• Jointly with production specialists, participate in conducting experiments to refine parameters for the production of new products and in the launch of new products into production;
• Study advanced domestic and foreign experience in the field of confectionery technology and new developments in the field of new ingredients;
• Create technical documentation to describe current processes and/or the launch of new products (process specifications) according to existing global function templates. Update data as necessary, coordinate the entry of Project information into internal programs and systems;
• Consult production and related departments on technology issues for the chewing gum and candy categories and the use of best practices;
• On behalf of R&D, lead the formation of project documentation regarding the level of technology readiness, risk assessment, and final project design;
• Jointly with the business development department and/or engineering, form technical specifications for equipment suppliers regarding the technological/process part, and carry out the feasibility study of producing semi-finished and finished products at the Company's plant. Contribute to the improvement of production processes to achieve best-in-class standards and ensure their consistency;
• Ensure compliance of the types of raw materials used and finished product production processes with Company policies and procedures, and make appropriate adjustments in a timely manner if necessary;
• Be responsible for implementing medium and high complexity tasks related to reducing cost of goods sold/increasing product profitability without reducing quality and increasing potential negative environmental impact;
• Evaluate technical feasibility and conduct risk assessments for the implementation of assigned tasks in the field of finished product recipe development;
• Participate in the work of the HACCP team;
• Ensure the maintenance of connections and partnerships with local commercial and production teams, and interact with experts from global and regional R&D departments on Project-related matters.

Requirements

We expect from you

• Higher technical education (chemical, biological, in the field of food production or related specialties) and at least 3 years of work experience in the relevant industry;
• Knowledge of typical technological processes and production modes;
• Requirements for raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, and finished products;
• Knowledge in the field of food safety (HACCP);
• Knowledge of local regulatory aspects;
• Knowledge and skills in the development and preparation of technical documentation, specifications for raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products;
• Raw material consumption rates (recipes) and materials;
• Knowledge of the basics of financial accounting;
• Knowledge of the basics of labor law;
• Ability to work on projects and lead them (Project Management basics);
• Presentation skills;
• Effective interaction with internal and external partners;
• Communicativeness, skills in creating effective work and communication with related departments, ability to work in a team;
• Knowledge of English (Intermediate level);
• Rapid problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines;
• Leadership and organizational abilities;
• Ability to work on a personal computer, knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs.
