Purchasing Department Manager

For the company Alum, a leader in mega projects in the building envelope field, a Purchasing Department Manager is required. The role includes: Leading all purchasing activities, managing strategic suppliers and framework agreements in significant volumes. Commercial negotiation and ensuring the availability of raw materials and products. Routine work with production, logistics, production planning and control (PPC), quality, and other supply chain interfaces. Managing and leading a professional team of buyers.

Experience in a purchasing management role – minimum 5 years. Experience in a manufacturing company with complex assemblies – mandatory. Experience in framework agreements – minimum 20M. Fluent English – mandatory. Excel – full proficiency including complex file analysis, drawing conclusions and insights. Experience in an ERP system – mandatory. Experience in team management – mandatory. Certification in the field of purchasing and/or in the field of import-export is a significant advantage.
