Chief Accountant for a Public Company

A long-standing and leading public company, operating through a group of companies in Israel and worldwide. The company is among the leaders in the field of agriculture and agricultural export, and operates in several key sectors: agriculture, export and marketing of agricultural produce, and real estate.

The role includes: Managing and leading the group's accounting and bookkeeping system, and full responsibility for financial reporting in a public company with dynamic global activity.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Financial Reporting and Regulation: Responsibility for preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards, managing the public company's reporting, and ongoing work with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Periodic Closings: Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes from end to end.
• International Interfaces and Complex Issues: Professional support for subsidiaries in Israel and abroad, and handling complex accounting issues, transactions, and valuations.
• Analysis and Presentation to Management: Preparing financial analyses, presentations, and board materials for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Innovation, Technology, and Automation: Leading efficiency, digitization, and automation processes, implementing BI systems, and integrating AI tools into the finance department.
• Team Management and Control: Professional management and leadership of the accounting and bookkeeping team, while being responsible for the internal control system and improving work processes.

• CPA license – Mandatory.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, or as a Senior Accountant in a large company.
• Proven experience in preparing consolidated financial statements according to IFRS.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of employees.
• Full proficiency in Excel (including complex functions).
• Very high level of English (working with international entities).
