Logistics Activity Manager

Job Description:

• Overall responsibility for managing operational/logistics activity
• Management of a team of 10-15 employees, including team leaders
• Familiarity with cold chain and working in a compliant environment, regulation, and ISO standards (medical preferred)
• Working with many interfaces at the client and working with field personnel and senior officials alike, including global stakeholders
• Management of complex logistical processes while maintaining a high level of service and controls in the fields of operations, quality, and safety
• Ability to formulate a clear action plan explaining the team's role
• Ability to translate responsibility, goals, and job definition into a set of actions, workflows, and routine monitoring while defining goals, boundaries of authority, and responsibility
• Ability to manage changes and lead the team while influencing employee commitment to achieving goals
• Ability to instill responsibility and perform continuous improvement actions
• High personal abilities, responsibility, diligence, leading employees, and striving for excellence in all required areas, attention to detail
• Ability to make decisions under pressure, numerous constraints and variables, and uncertainty, and to implement them
• The activity operates regularly between 8:00 to 17:00 and on Fridays/holidays
• Overtime and Fridays as needed according to work and clients
• Working under pressure and multitasking, working with many parties such as operations, quality, infrastructure, safety, internal factors (company), and external factors (client/suppliers)
• Information systems SAP, Priority, WMS
• Forklift license is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Industrial Engineering is an advantage
• High Office capabilities with an emphasis on Excel
• Reading, writing, and speaking English is mandatory
• Proven experience in a similar environment is mandatory (including recommendations)

Operations:

• Overall responsibility for the operational performance of the activity and towards the client
• Management of raw materials inventory for production, finished goods, work-in-progress, and development inventory (inventory varied in type and scale/volumes, storage of cold chain and temperature-controlled, inventory in an automated warehouse)
• Responsibility for inventory accuracy. Understanding, managing, and performing cycle counts/annual counts for thousands of SKUs
• Working in a safety and quality environment, as well as familiarity with Lean culture
• Meeting SLA/KPI controls (Service Level Agreement, Key Performance Indicators)
• Working with many internal interfaces (Purchasing, Safety, HQ, Finance, complementary service companies such as transportation and shipping, packaging – carpentry, etc.)

Quality

• Working in a strict compliant and regulatory environment
• Ability to understand, read, and write quality procedures
• Ability to perform and investigate quality incidents

Safety, Security, and Infrastructure:

• Responsibility for the activity's infrastructure, including order, cleanliness, and routine maintenance of existing tools in the activity (forklifts, shelving, and work tools)
• Responsibility for the security and safety of the project's staff, including routine controls and compliance with internal and external audits
• Familiarity with the requirements for managing a cold chain warehouse and a temperature-controlled warehouse
• Ability to perform and investigate safety incidents as needed
• Recruitment, retention, and development capabilities of employees and team leaders, conducting performance reviews and feedback
• Organizational culture, shaping and implementing interpersonal and professional conduct among employees so that the work environment atmosphere is professional, pleasant, and in the spirit of the company
• Ability to develop employees and team leaders and create appropriate infrastructures for growth and optimal staffing of roles

Commercial:

• Management of an independent Profit/Loss unit
• Responsibility for the profitability of the business unit
• Ability to increase the volume of commercial activity by selling additional/complementary services and resource management capabilities in terms of field, manpower, and project procurement
• Ability to identify patterns and trends in business data in order to isolate problems
• Ability to identify and evaluate short-term and long-term opportunities
• Ability to develop products, services, and processes that meet the client's needs
