NPI Quality Engineer
•Lead FMEA (AMDEC) for new products and processes — working tool, not a compliance document •Define CTQs (Critical-to-Quality characteristics) from customer requirements and translate into measurable process controls •Create and maintain control plans for all new products before first production run •Develop product and process quality standards where none exist, and document them clearly for Production •Participate in design reviews with Development — raise quality and manufacturability risks early •Validate tooling and production fixtures (JIGs, hot stamp dies, die cut tools) before qualification sign-off, per QUA-019 •Define traceability requirements for new products and ensure Production is set up to meet them •Lead supplier qualification for new components and materials — coordinate PPAP submission, review documentation, and approve first articles with suppliers •Travel to key suppliers (approx. 15–20% of time during active NPI projects) to validate qualification procedures on-site, confirm requirements, and align on qualification milestones •Ensure component qualification is completed and documented before any new part enters production, per QUA-017 •Lead process validation before any new product is launched to the line •Own the launch readiness review — confirm that process, tooling, training, control plan, and documentation are all in place before production starts •Conduct or oversee First Article Inspection and pre-series runs for new products •Validate process repeatability before volume ramp-up — identify sources of variation and ensure they are under control •Train Line Leaders and production operators on new process standards, quality checkpoints, and inspection methods specific to each launch •Support corrective action on launch defects — apply root cause methodology (5-Why, 8D) at the process level, not just on individual parts
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 3–5 years in a process quality, NPI quality, or industrialisation engineering role in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional tolerances Microsof office need Excel, Word,PPT etc.. ERP English — professional working proficiency. Solid understanding of plastic injection moulding processes and associated quality constraints. Experience with recycled plastic is preffered. Leader ship abilities are required — comfortable working across functions to solve quality issues, challenging decisions from other department when quality risks are identified.
